At the Annual Meeting of Sherwood Co-op, the Board of Directors announced an allocation on member purchases for the year 2007 as follows:
Pump & Bulk Fuels 10.0%
Lumber & Hardware 4.0%
Food & Confections 3.5%
For example: In 2007, if you spent a total of $1,000,00 on petroleum and $1,000.00 on lumber, as well as $2,000.00 of food, your equity in the co-op would increase by $210.00.
$1,000.00 x 10.0% = $100.00
$1,000.00 x 4.0% = $ 40.00
$2,000.00 x 3.5% = $ 70.00
Total 2007 Allocation = $210.00
For the fiscal year 2007, members received in cash 25% of this allocation. $210.00x25% = $52.50.
The balance of equity is paid out under the guidelines listed below.

A written application for repayment must be provided to Sherwood Co-op in each of these instances. All applications are subject to Board approval.
Will be mailed out in May of every year.
Every second Wednesday of the month, Sherwood Co-op offers a discount of 10% off all food purchases (excluding prescriptions and cigarettes). The event is designed to provide additional savings opportunities to all family members within the community. In addition, Sherwood Co-op members will also accumulate any equity allocation that may be made during the current year.
The cost of becoming a member is just Five Dollars.
Any members children 13 years of age or younger are eligible to become a member of our Kids Club. Its Free and provides opportunities for your children to participate in coloring contests and other special events. Members of the Kids Club also qualify to obtain a free nutritious food items such as an apple, muffin of granola bar, every time they accompany their parents shopping at Sherwood Co-op Food Store.
