Solvent is used in a variety of industrial processes and
product applications. Typical uses include dry-cleaning
solvent, paint and varnish thinner, floor wax polishes,
metal cleaning, weather degreasing, textile printing, and
selected weed killers. All petroleum solvents are
flammable. Under certain conditions their vapor-air
mixtures will explode if ignited. For safe use eliminate all
sources of sparks, flames, or static electricity and use
solvent in relatively open and well ventilated areas. Avoid
inhalation of solvent vapors and direct contact with the
skin.
