SONIC MP Gear Oil (with CGT)

(View MSDS)

Description

SONIC MP Gear Oil is formulated with CGT (clean gear technology) to reduce deposits, increase fluid and gear life. It is an ashless oil designed to eliminate chemical reactions with yellow metals such as brass. SONIC MP GEAR OIL provides superior lubrication in passenger cars, farm equipment, heavy and light-duty trucks, off highway equipment and industrial gear applications.

Application

SONIC MP Gear Oil is recommended for use in any application requiring a heavy duty, extreme pressure gear lubricant. It is approved for API Service GL-5 and meets the performance of Mil-PRF-2105E. Special additive chemistry also makes it suitable for top up and complete refill of limited slip differentials.

Performance Features

  1. Extreme pressure additives to provide GL-5 Service.
  2. Formulated for complete refill of limited slip differentials.
  3. Non-foaming.
  4. Water tolerant (excellent for applications where water contamination may occur).
  5. Exceptional oxidation stability for reduced formation of gear deposits under high operating temperatures.
  6. Superior gear protection under high loads.

Availability

SAE Grades
SONIC MP Gear Oil is available in 75W90, 80W90 and 85W140 viscosity grades.

Containers

80W90 is available in 205 litres and 110 litre drums, 60litre keg, 20-litre pails, 4/5 litre cases, and one litre bottles.

85W140 is available in 205 litres and 110 litre drums, 20-litre pails, and 4/5 litre cases.

75W and 75W90 is available in 205 litres drums and 20litre pails.

Two common gear types found in the transmissions and differentials of tractors are (a) bevel gear and (b) spur gear. Inset - Higher horsepower delivered through smaller gears increases tooth pressure in either type and may cause a heat build-up. High temperatures and wiping action can cause rapid wear unless an extreme-pressure (EP) additive is present in the lubricant.
